Software Quality Special Interest Network (SQ SIN)software quality

The CEPIS Software Quality Special Interest Network (SQ SIN) aims to provide a network for experts from CEPIS member societies to work together to collect, analyse, coordinate and offer educational, professional and research expertise to relevant and interested European parties. The SQ SIN focuses on all types of methods, techniques, processes, organisational and human approaches that are relevant and useful for promoting best practices in order to achieve levels of high quality in software development, maintenance and management.

 This will include the following activity areas for example:

  • develop, discuss and promote analysis and studies on issues in the area of software quality, engineering and innovation;
  • compile and disseminate relevant information for the promotion of best practices in software quality;
  • cooperate with existing events, initiatives and projects to assist European software professionals and organisations to implement best practices;
  • promote education and qualification of European professionals in software quality, engineering and innovation best practices by providing expertise for specific activities including CEPIS projects in this area;
  • coordinate research efforts to gain a deeper understanding of and to develop best practices for software quality in the context of European organisations and markets.

 

Call for Experts

Recently the final experts who expressed interest in joining the SQ SIN have been accepted, and an infrastructure has been set-up for all participants via Google Groups. Google Groups will be the platform for communication and coordination of the SQ SIN group and we encourage any CEPIS Members still interested in participating to please join the group by using the link in the Members Area

Cooperation with existing initiatives, conferences, publications or projects as well as the launch of specific activities (such as surveys, analysis, studies, research,  etc.) is all part of the planned actions.
