CEPIS Executive Committee Elections

 

The CEPIS Executive Committee Elections will take place at the next Council meeting in November this year in Brussels.

As a member-led organisation, active participation by Member Societiesis a vital part of ensuring CEPIS maintains and grows its relevance within the European Informatics arena and with the European Institutions. Five positions are available:

  • President Elect (one year as President Elect, two years as President, one year as Past President)
  • Honorary Secretary (two years)
  • Honorary Treasurer (two years)
  • Vice President: 2x positions (two years)
Candidates may be nominated for more than one position however such applications must be made separately on the nomination form. The voting sequence will be in the order listed above. Each qualifying Member Society will have one vote on each of the available five positions.

Nominations are now open!

 

According to the Constitution, article 4.4.1, only those representatives of full Member Societies that have paid their membership fee in full will have the voting right during the Council meeting. In order to avoid any doubtful situation please make sure that your society has paid its membership fee.

To follow the requirements as laid down in the Standing Orders, all proposals should be submitted in writing to the CEPIS Secretariat. In addition, nominations and relevant documents should also be submitted by electronic mail. All Member Societies and their delegates to the Council are kindly asked to submit all documentation for the nominations before September 18th, 2010.

Candidates, who must be proposed by at least four Members, should also submit a short biography together with a photo and written statement of their intended contribution to CEPIS. A template for this information is attached for your convenience. These documents should be sent to the CEPIS Secretariat before the 18th October 2010. A summary document of all biographies will be distributed one month prior to the Council meeting. Please direct all related correspondence to Fiona Fanning
