UPGRADE is a bi-monthly European informatics e-journal that covers many diverse topics of particular interest to IT professionals and academics. Established international specialists publish papers on research and technological developments as well as current IT topics of interest. This allows UPGRADE's subscribers to develop their technical expertise and to broaden their knowledge of informatics.
Established in 2004, this section of UPGRADE is a network of publications created by European informatics societies. It provides a platform for a wealth of knowledge from different IT societies across Europe who regularly contribute information from their own publications to a wider, pan-European audience.
The newest issue entitled 'Emerging Information Technologies' includes papers on the topic of the rapid development of ICT in today’s society. ICT investments need proper monitoring and decision makers need to identify the scientific areas of this strategic industry with the greatest economic and social impacts. It is clear that developing tools for the analysis of developments in the field of ICT becomes a first-order scientific priority.
CEPIS invites contributions from IT experts across Europe for all of the 2010 issues of UPGRADE. The remaining topics on the UPGRADE schedule for 2010 are Emerging Information Technologies Part 2, Informatics Professionalism - UPGRADE's 10th anniversary and Computer Vision.
UPGRADE is a bi-monthly e-journal and is freely distributed and read by thousands of IT professionals and academics across Europe and beyond. The high quality content of each e-journal provides a wealth of knowledge about informatics-related topics and each article is authored by established professionals and academics.
UPGRADE offers advertising in its e-journal which enables you to present your organisation or event to an audience of 300,000 informatics and education professionals.
The next issue of UPGRADE, Issue IV of 2010 will be published in August. The topic for papers in the next issue will also be about the broad area of Emerging Technologies 2010, entitled 2010 - Emerging Information Technologies (II).
