eGovernment Report: More Public Services Online Saves Costs and Cuts Red Tape

Europe’s 9th eGovernment Benchmarking Report has been released and shows that the average number of public services online had increased by more than one-tenth in the last year.

The report measured 20 basic public services and whether they are available online in each participating country. Austria, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Sweden have all twenty basic services online. However Cyprus, Iceland, Romania and Slovakia have either 60% or less of those services online; Greece performed the worst with only 40%.
