AICA Working with Italian Ministry of Education on Computing in Schools

AICAAssociazione Italiana per l'Informatica ed il Calcolo Automatico (AICA) is collaborating with the Italian Ministry of Education on a series of projects related to computing in schools.

The first project is the Web Trotter project; an online competition for students aged between 14 and 16 which aims to enhance their ability to conduct online research related to various school subjects.

The second project, called Logic, focusses on the early development of procedural and computational thinking through practical exercises with simple robots following children's instructions. It includes both a training proposal for teachers and guided activities for primary school pupils.

Both projects are associated with the Welcome ECDL initiative, through which young boys and girls can become familiar with digital-user skills required in the ECDL programme.
