Digital Economy and Digital Skills a Priority for the Bulgarian Presidency

Bulgarian_Presidency_of_the_EU_20182018 has arrived, and with it, the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. For six months, Bulgaria will drive EU policies. Much of its work is planned to be on the digital economy: from e-privacy to copyright issues, Bulgaria is planning to take decisive action. The Presidency will afford special focus to equipping people with digital skills. As the Presidency states, “linking the education of the young people with learning “the skills for the future” is the way to achieve a competitive, flexible and successful Europe”.

Other priorities of the Bulgarian presidency are the future of Europe and young people, the Western Balkans, and security and stability. You can find more detailed information about the Presidency’s priorities and programme on their website.
