On October 25, 2018, the Belgian association of technology companies, ‘Agoria’, held its annual event with a session dedicated to the digital transformation of industry and IT professionalism.

Beginning the session, Jeroen Franssen of Agoria presented a national survey forecasting current and future skills needed in the Belgian labour market. Austeja Trinkunaite, CEPIS Secretary General, then presented the importance of IT professionalism in Europe and invited participants to join ITPE, followed by the current developments of the e-Competence Framework (e-CF), which were presented by e-CF update project leader, Jutta Breyer.

The event bridged ITPE with national industry representatives, who were interested to learn more about the initiatives taken to address the IT professionals’ skills gap.
