Denmark launches AI strategy focusing on ethics

The Danish government has launchedthe National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (NSAI),aimed at enhancing industry competitiveness and developing a human-centric and solid ethical foundation for AI. The NSAI details initiatives under four focus areas:

  1. the need for a responsible basis for AI;
  2. access to more and better data;
  3. the development of strong digital-AI competences coupled with new knowledge;
  4. and the scaled-up flow of capital investments into AI.

The implementation of the NSAI is set to face a shortage of IT, digital and AI skills and specialists in Denmark, where currently, thousands of positions seeking IT talent currently remain vacant inprivate and public sectors.
