European Commission launches the pilot phase of the ethics guidelines for trustworthy AI

On 26 June, the European Commission launched the pilot phase of the ethics guidelines for trustworthy AI. This means that organisations can now test the assessment list for trustworthy AI in practice. The pilot phase is accompanied by the 33 new policy recommendations for companies and policy makers by the high-level expert group on AI. These include taking a ‘tailored approach’ to the AI market, exploring a multi-faceted role of the public sector, as well as embracing a long-term strategy when working with AI under a 10-year rolling plan.
