GI releases Charter on Digital Education

The German Informatics Society (GI) has launched the ‘Charter on Digital Education’ as a nationwide German initiative earlier this year. Many political figures, business, and civil society stakeholders expressed their support for a shared understanding of what education in the digital age is, and what values it should be based on. The three main dimensions include technical understanding, socio-cultural context, and application orientation.

An English translation will be available soon at, and all European stakeholders are invited to show their support by signing the charter online.
