Over 20,000 Students Participated in PIPS’ National ICT Competition

CEPIS Member in Poland, the Polish Information Processing Society (PIPS), recently organised the TIK?-TAK! competition under the patronage of the Polish Ministry of Education. TIK is the equivalent of ICT in Polish, so the competition's name can be translated to English as “ICT?-Yes!”. It is also a pun - when this name is pronounced it evokes the sound of a clock. This nation-wide competition aimed to raise young people’s interest in ICT and in the information society in general. 800 schools and 23,478 students took part in the competition this year. Another objective of the competition is to encourage schools to recognize and develop future ICT talents. More on the TIK?-TAK! Competition
